People choose to get dermal fillers to enhance their facial features or gain a more youthful appearance. This elective treatment usually takes less than half an hour, and recovery time is minimal. Results are seen right away and last months to years depending on the type of filler and the location.
There are several kinds of dermal fillers that are designed for different area of the face and body. Simone will discuss your options with you. As with any cosmetic procedure, there are risks, including infection, bleeding and bruising. Health insurance plans generally don’t cover elective cosmetic procedures such as filler injections.

Which areas can be filled?
Fillers can create a result almost anywhere in the face to fill lines and correct volume loss or create volume where you feel is missing. The most common area filler is used includes cheeks, lips, lip lines and nasolabial folds.
How long does it last?
Fillers usually last between 5 months to two years, depending on the type of filler and where the filler is used.
When will I see results?
You will see an immediate result with filler. At first the area will be swollen and red. It will take approximately 14 days for you to see the final results.
Will it be painful?
The filler that we use contains a local anaesthetic. After the first few injections the area becomes numb. We may also apply a numbing cream to the area before the procedure to make you as comfortable as possible.
What are the side effects?
As with all medical treatments, there are some potential and short-term side effects that may occur such as bruising, swelling, and redness. With any medical procedure, there is a possibility for infection. Very rare effects include an occlusion within a blood vessel and allergic reactions. You will be educated in signs and symptoms on the day and your practioner is trained to assist you if such event may occur.
